Active Chiropractic Is Now Active Health Collective: What’s New for Edmonton Patients?

Active Health Collective team in Edmonton

If you have known us as Active Chiropractic in Edmonton, you may have noticed a new name.

Active Chiropractic is now Active Health Collective.

While the name has changed, our commitment to providing dependable, patient-focused care has not. You’ll still find familiar faces at the clinic, including Dr. Mike, along with a growing team of health professionals who can help patients with different aspects of their movement, recovery, and overall physical health.

So, why the change?

As our clinic has grown, the name Active Chiropractic no longer represented everything happening within our doors. Chiropractic care remains an important part of what we do, but today our team also provides massage therapy, kinesiology and rehabilitation services, and other forms of care.

Active Health Collective better reflects who we have become.

The Same Edmonton Clinic, With a Broader Team

For established patients, one of the most important things to know is that this change is not about leaving Active Chiropractic behind.

It is about building on it.

Dr. Mike and the team have spent years caring for patients in the Edmonton area. That history matters to us, and it continues to be part of Active Health Collective.

At the same time, patients do not always come to a clinic with a need that fits neatly into one category. Someone may be dealing with persistent stiffness. Another person may be recovering from an injury. Someone else may be trying to improve strength and movement after a period of inactivity.

Having professionals from different areas of care working within the same clinic allows patients to access services that fit their individual needs.

Chiropractic Care Is Still a Core Part of Active Health Collective

If you came to Active Chiropractic for chiropractic care, that service isn’t going anywhere.

Our chiropractic care continues to focus on assessing and addressing concerns involving the musculoskeletal system, including joints, muscles, and movement.

Depending on the individual, people may seek chiropractic care for concerns such as back or neck discomfort, mobility restrictions, headaches associated with musculoskeletal factors, or other movement-related concerns.

Treatment recommendations are based on the individual assessment rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

More Support for Movement and Rehabilitation

One of the benefits of the expanded Active Health Collective team is the ability to provide additional support for people who need to rebuild movement, strength, or function.

Our kinesiology and rehabilitation services focus on movement and exercise-based strategies tailored to the individual.

This may be helpful for someone working through an injury, returning to activity, dealing with physical limitations, or simply needing more guidance as they work toward better strength and movement.

Chiropractic and rehabilitation are distinct services, and not every patient will require both. When different services are appropriate, however, having them available within the same clinic can make communication and continuity of care easier.

Massage Therapy at Active Health Collective

Massage therapy is another important part of our growing clinic.

Our registered massage therapists work with patients who may be experiencing muscle tension, soreness, restricted movement, or other soft-tissue concerns. Massage may also be used as part of an individual’s broader approach to physical activity, recovery, and general wellness.

Because massage therapy can look different depending on a person’s goals, our team can help patients understand the available options and choose an approach appropriate for them.

Why “Active Health Collective”?

The word Collective is intentional.

Active Health Collective brings different health professionals together in one clinic while still recognizing that every patient and every treatment plan is individual.

It doesn’t mean that every patient needs every service. It means that when another type of care may be useful, there is a broader team available.

For patients, that can mean having access to chiropractic care, massage therapy, rehabilitation, and other services without losing the familiarity of the clinic and people they already know.

What Does the Change Mean for Existing Active Chiropractic Patients?

For many of our existing patients, very little needs to change.

You can continue coming to the clinic for the care you know us for. The biggest difference is that you’ll begin seeing the Active Health Collective name online, on clinic materials, and throughout our communications.

You’ll also see more of our team.

As we introduce the practitioners who make up Active Health Collective, we’ll be sharing more information about their areas of care, what they do, and when their services may be appropriate.

Our goal is to make it easier for Edmonton patients to understand the different types of support available to them and to know who they can turn to when they need care.
